2013.03.04 The project goes smoothly and performs the calculation about the tenth target molecules now afterwards.
We identified two kinds of promising small chemical compounds and, about the first target as T1.
The results were submitted The Journal of Cancer Research.
About the target molecules after the second, we summarize results in an article sequentially.

2011.08.22 After screening 3,000,000 candidate chemicals by molecular imaging and cellular toxicity, our project team has finally identified 7 small chemical compounds which kill several neuroblastoma cells at very low concentration. These compounds are currently subjected for further analyses including the toxicity test using mice as well as elucidation of the molecular mechanism how cancer cells are killed.

2011.03.09 We have done more than 76% calculation of this project (T1, S1, S2, N1, L3, L4).

We are now preparing the toxicity check experiment for the drug candidates (T1; 7 compounds, S1; 3 compounds).
These experiments are covered with the prize money which IBM Watoson Computer won by an American popularity TV program “Jeopardy”.

2010.8.13 Now the calculation for N1, the 4th target of this project, has been proceeding.
For T1, we identified 6 compounds that are effectively repress the cell growth among 50 compounds had selected by computer simulation. We continue further detail examination.
For S1 and S2, we started data analysis of the computer simulation.

2010.4.30 We already prepared 50 compounds as drug candidates for neuroblastoma and are setting the in vitro experiments.

We will make a detail consideration as drug like compounds on them and choose 10 candidates for next experiment using neuroblastoma cells.

Now the calculation for S1, the second target of this project, has been proceeding.
Since we are now preparing the second screening of T1, we will make an announcement of the result by the end of next March.
